Hey guys! so this is my first of many reviews, I decided to review my most recent purchase, Nars sheer glow! I have heard so much about this foundation I wanted to try it for myself. I am always looking to try new foundations and finding the perfect one for me and my skin type which is dry!
So firstly, this foundation is £30.50/€40/$44. The foundation comes in 16 shades, so you are bound to find your match! I’m very pale, and this foundation matches my skin tone perfectly! I always struggle to find a good match. The packaging is not too bad. It’s a glass bottle. Although the lid is prone to getting dirty, as all of their packaging is, but i guess all packaging gets dirty after awhile so that shouldn’t be a problem.
The good things about this foundation is that it is very natural on the skin! which i love, just to even out the skin tone and not be too cakey. It is a medium to full coverage. It doesn’t contain any SPF! So it is great for flash photography! If you wear this daily, be sure to wear a moisturiser with SPF in it, to prevent skin damage from the sun! One of my favourite things about this foundation is that it does not oxidise at all! It stays true to colour. The foundation dries slightly matte, but still looks like skin. It is great for oily and dry skin, i have really dry skin and it is great as its nicely moisturising! If you’re oily then you may want to set it with some powder just to insure it will stay put! On me, it stays on about 6 hours, which is longer than any other foundation i have used, thats without a primer. With primer it can last up to all day, it depends on your skin. I dont know how this would sit on sensitive skin but it is worth the try! This foundation hasn’t broken me out at all. Its lightweight, and looks like skin!
The bad things about this foundation is the price! Although I think if you are thinking of splurging out and trying out a high end foundation, this is worth the try and it is amazing for occasions such as weddings, proms, etc. Even get a sample of it first, that always helps deciding. It doesn’t come with a pump, you have to buy one, so that sucks.
It is supposedly best applied with fingers, but i prefer to use a real techniques buffing brush, which I will do a review on soon! Applied with fingers gives a more light coverage, using a brush will give a fuller and more flawless finish! You can purchase this foundation wherever there is a Nars counter or on their website. I know if in ireland then brown thomas, UK then house of fraser/space Nk, US then sephora. Shake the bottle before you use it. The foundation is more on the watery side. Its not really thick and creamy. So that is my opinion on this foundation! I would repurchase this foundation. Thank you for reading I have many more reviews to come and if you would like me to review anything in particular then do let me know!
Disclaimer: I was not paid to do this review, I wasn’t sent this product. My 100% honest opinion!
